A quality and quantity development took place in Poland at the beginning of the Nineties in the production and use of windows, doors and curtain walling. This development was set in motion by a large demand for the renovation of old, ruined and poor quality windows in connection with energy saving and environmental protection programmes, which had been started earlier but had been later neglected, as well as by the needs of the new building industry.
