A strong alliance – now and in the future

Over the last 20 years, since the foundation of Marantec Antriebs - und Steuerungstechnik in 1990, a corporate group has been created which is unique in terms of efficiency, performance and international market presence. Products are developed by a 25 strong team made up of engineers and draughtspersons. This guarantees the high quality of all the individual parts and fi nished products. In recent years, patents have been applied for numerous innovations, including the prize-winning blueline technology for reducing the power consumption of garage door operators in stand-by mode. Operators, controls and peripheral products are also manufactured in their own specialized production plants: in Marienfeld, Legden, Miesbach and Zeesen in Germany, Kestenholz in Switzerland , Helsinki in Finland, Ajka in Hungary, Durban in South Africa, Ningbo in China and Gurnee in the USA. Optimized infrastructure and cross-linking result in products of the highest quality, speed and individuality. The special requirements and wishes of international customers can be accommodated effectively and professionally within the group. The sales organization also operates on a worldwide basis. With its own sales teams in Europe, North and South America, Asia and Africa, the group is represented almost everywhere. This results in products that are in line with market requirements, for both regional and international applications. The range of services is completed by an internationally oriented team of specialists providing technical support.

Management of the international group
The overall management of the individual companies is brought together in the OWF organization. Here, the strategic principles and plans for the future of the group are formulated. The members of the OWF management team include Michael Hörmann and Hans-Joachim Molterer for the business areas of development, production and sales, Klaus Goldstein from the financial and human resources side and Kerstin Hochmüller for the areas of marketing and communications. Working together with those responsible for the individual companies, the group strategy is rigorously implemented.
In May 2010, Michael Hörmann withdrew from the operative side of the business to concentrate on the strategic orientation of the group as a whole.
A family enterprise with tradition, moving into the future
Despite its size, the OWF group is and will remain an East Westphalian family company. Each and every employee undertakes to uphold its tradition of producing quality products and establishing cooperative customer relations.
